Playing show tunes and easy listening standards, a strolling violinist adds a touch of elegance to your evening.

Originally organized to read chamber music together, the d’Indy String Quartet has evolved into one of the busiest performing ensembles in the Indianapolis area. Weddings, receptions, dinner parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday and anniversary celebrations, holiday parties and business events keep the quartet playing. Their extensive tune list reflects this variety of activities.

Musicians of the d’Indy String Quartet are professional players who have performed in all the major venues in the Indianapolis area including Hilbert Circle Theatre, Murat Theatre and Clowes Hall, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Dolphin Pavilion at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Efroymson Wedding Garden at White River Gardens, Laurel Hall, the Propylaeum, the Black Iris Estate, and the large cathedrals and smaller churches and chapels in the city. Backyards, country clubs, large hotel ballrooms and intimate settings in private homes describe the range of experiences of this long-time Indianapolis quartet.

Other occasions have their special requirements to consider also. The d’Indy String Quartet can offer insights to help your event to run smoothly.

Please express my thanks to everyone in the quartet for playing yesterday! You sounded fabulous, and many people told me how much they enjoyed your playing. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to say goodbye to you guys before you left, but I really appreciated having you there. It gave me a new perspective on playing weddings. 🙂 Hope to see you around town!
